Elvis Presley died of a sudden 34 years ago, but his lovers haven’t forgotten him

Elvis Presley died of a sudden 34 years ago, but his lovers haven’t forgotten him. Thousands of Elvis fans attained their way to the King’s grave at Graceland to remember the day of remembrance of his passing on tuesday, Billboard.com reports.
Presley’s music went to the fans’ vigil, with tracks like “If I Can Dream” running in the background as fans left flower placements and wreathes on the gravesite. According to Billboard, the vigil is the main event of “Elvis” week, with fans awaiting hours outside the Memphis mansion for the procession to begin.
Crowds assembled from as far away as Brazil, undiscouraged by humid temperatures in the high 80s. Based on local police approximates, about 15,000 to 20,000 people went to the morning vigil. It may look like a high number, but an Elvis Presley Enterprises spokesman told the media that next year’s 35th anniversary event is expected to draw about 75,000 fans.
The vigil started when some devoted fans began visiting Elvis Presley’s grave to pay court to their favourite singer after his death in 1977. Five years later, the event was formally organized.
The King’s large charm may have been the result of his various voice. Presley was able to range from country and pop music to gospel and blues easily. During his lifetime, he was nominated for 14 competitive Grammys, and has since been induced into four music halls of fame.
